Services Government Community Doing Business Home Government Departments Parks & Recreation Team Sports Team Sports Pocatello Team Sports Program Update – COVID-19 Consequences Dear All Pocatello Team Sports Patrons, Due to President Trump’s extension of Social Distancing measures and Governor Little’s Stay Home Order extended through April 30th, all City of Pocatello Team Sports programs are suspended until April 30th unless additional changes or modifications to Presidents Trump’s or Governor Little’s orders are implemented prior to April 30th. We wish we had a definite date and plan as to when things will return to life as we knew it before the COVID-19 pandemic changed everything. Given the ever changing circumstances of the pandemic and its day to day evolution, all of our plans are dependent upon the most recent direction we receive from our Government & Health Organizations. Team Sports plans to resume our Spring & Summer Sports programs as best we can once it is deemed safe and prudent to do so by our Government Leaders & Health Professionals. Current Conditions by Program Girls Volleyball – Suspended until further notice. Waiting to see if we will be able to resume practices & games in SD25 facilities before any final program decision will be made. All program decisions have been moved back at least until April 30. Bannock Baseball – Suspended until further notice. Waiting for a resumption of play declaration from Government Leaders & Health Professionals. All program decisions have been moved back at least until April 30. Adult Summer Softball – Due to the uncertainty of the COVID-19 Pandemic and its ramifications for our Summer Softball Program, all team registration has been shut down in office and online. All registration decisions have been moved back until after April 30. Please have your Adult Softball team rosters and team registration fees ready to go for the first week of May in case we are allowed to resume Team Registration at that time. We will be in contact with you concerning any Team Registration or League News as it becomes available to us. This is unknown territory for all of us! Please bear with us as we all have to work through this outbreak together. You will receive updated information as it is made available to Team Sports. Please stay safe during this shut down period. We want everybody to be healthy and ready to go if and when we finally get to play again. TEAM SPORTS NEWS February 11, 2020 Girls' Volleyball The Pocatello Parks and Recreation Department is proud to offer our Girls Volleyball program again this year. The league will consist of three divisions: 4th /5th Grades, 6th/7th and 8th/9th Grades. Registration will be limited to 10 teams per division and 10 players per team. Registration will be available at http://register.pocatello.us beginning Monday, February 3, 2020. Registration closes Friday, February 28, 2020 at which time rosters will be due. Cost will be $55.00/player (Resident) or $60.00/player (Non-resident).
